Multicultural Education


A multicultural approach to education calls for schools to be learning environments that promote democracy in all aspects. Though this sounds reasonable, the culture that our schools (and our selves) are immersed in can make it difficult to see aspects of schools and classrooms that are inequitable and degrading to people of different social groups. This page contains resources to help us understand the meaning of a multicultural learning environment as well is its practical implications.
